Hiking trail to Drehhütte and Rohrkopfhütte (mountain huts)

It's best to park your car at the parking lot at the Tegelberg Cable Car Station (don't forget to buy a parking ticket!).

A pleasant meadow path leads to Adlerhorst or Outward Bound. The trail is slightly uphill for about 40 minutes until you reach the turnoff to the Drehhütte. There, the road winds its way for about 300m through the forest with beautiful views of the Forggen and Bannwald Lakes.

After 1 hr, the path is divided shortly before the Drehhütte. On the left, is the first stop which is only a few meters away. On the right, with another 30 minutes uphill hike through the forest, there stands the Rohrkopfhütte. On the wonderful terrace, you can enjoy a spectacular view of Neuschwanstein Castle, the Alpine and swan lake Allgäuer distinctiveness. Via "Schutzengelweg" you will get back to the Tegelberg Cable Car Station parking lot.
